Fishing Lodge Inspired Father's Day Cards

Good afternoon! Yesterday I had a CRAZY productive day of cardmaking - I managed to make 15 cards, and 8 Quick Tip Videos (would have been 9 if my memory card hadn't gotten full and quit in the middle of the last one! Haha!)

I especially had lots of fun with a couple of the new Father's Day sets from Unity - Best Fishes and Bonus Dad. They are a perfect set, and work so well together!

I found this image on Pinterest - and since guy cards are often a challenge - I thought this picture was perfect inspiration! I made a couple cards inspired by this photo:

I added some linen ribbon, jute twine, kraft paper with some white ink around the side, and some pattern paper from a Christmas paper pad that was perfect! A couple notches trimmed into the side of the front panel - using a small hand held whole punch - was the perfect finishing touch. This card is the one that was supposed to be a video showing how to do that, and didn't happen because my memory card got too full! :)

Here are those two sets - and both are on sale right now (along with a WHOLE bunch of other stuff!) for a great deal!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

Growing in Unity Wednesday

Welcome to Growing in Unity Wednesday!  This week Paula is up sharing her wonderful Unity creations!

Meet Paula:

Here is a little something about Paula:

"Hi, My name is Paula. I have been enjoying making cards for 15 years now. I live in beautiful North Carolina. I just celebrated an anniversary with my love, and we have a daughter 19 in her second year of college. She is attending Nursing school at UNC Wilmington. I work full time as an accountant, so when I get time to craft it really puts my spirits in a better place. I discovered Unity 4 years ago, and they are my favorite go to stamp company. There are so many stamps on my wish list.  I love to travel as much as possible and and enjoy going to Zumba to stay fit."

Inspiration Wednesday with Angeline

Happy mid-week!
Angeline here to share with you a see through card I made using the latest Kit of the Month "A summer story".

Here's the quick tip VIDEO I made :)

I love this image from the KOM May 2016 and it's perfect as an ice blended on a hot summer's day!

Unity Stamp Company: Inspiration Wednesday with Angeline - See through card #unitystampco #scrappyscrappy #seethroughcard #vellum #stamp #stamping #kotm #summer #copic

I colored in the image using Copic markers and put it on some vellum - with some beautiful Gina K "Ang & Me" patterned paper. This technique works best with patterns that have a strong color/motif and that you would like to soften it slightly.

And hey, it's cool to give your friend a see through card right? :)

My card was inspired by this beautiful photo of some flowers.

Design Team Tuesday

Hi Stamper friends!!

One thing that I have always tried to teach my kids is KINDNESS MATTERS.   I honestly feel like if  they can  learn that lesson than I have achieved something as their mother.   I am always saying kindness matters to I figured it needed to be a stamp.   Sending a card to someone because they were kind to you is a beautiful thing!!

you can find this stamp here.

Hope you all have an amazing week!

Love and kindness are never wasted.
They always make a difference.
They bless the one who receives them,
and they bless you, the giver.
