Inspiration Wednesday—Give Thanks!

Happy Wednesday from Camille!

Today I’m going to show you a project I was inspired to make while shopping--grocery shopping--not craft shopping or even thrifting, just plain, ordinary grocery shopping.

I’m sure I’m like a lot of stampers and crafters out there, continually thinking about stamping and how I can save the mighty dollar to purchase more stamps, AND what can I find to stamp on. All of these thoughts at the same time, especially while shopping for cereal, milk, and produce.

While perusing our local bargain grocery store, I came across a good quality photo glass coaster set with a wooden box that was under $5. With Thanksgiving approaching, this would be a delightful medium to stamp seasonal sentiments and images, and it would be THE perfect gift for a dear friend of mine, so I forked over the $5, and I was happily on my way to my crafty laundry room. Who doesn’t need coasters this time of year?!

Here’s what I came up with.

I used this month’s Kit of the Month, Love & Joy for the Holidays, with a sentiment from September Girl.

And while the Holiday shopping season is upon us, just remember . . .

Happy Holiday Shopping!

DT Tuesday + Picks of the Week!

Hello Unity peeps! It seems like ages since I've done a DT Tuesday post! I'm excited to be back and share some cards I made inspired by the newest {Be Inspired} Challenge!

For this card, I used the card sketch challenge. I am obsessed with the newest Vintage Era Background Kit. I stamped the script bird in gold and colored my Jaqueline Girl with Copic markers.

This is such a simple sketch with a lot of ways to twist it up and make it your own! My next card uses BOTH the sketch and the Color Challenge...

This card was created using the October KOTM, "Break out the Ugly Sweaters", and "Vintage Era Background Kit".  I colored the mittens with Copic markers and layered them on papers that matched the color challenge.

The Unity Be Inspired Challenge is open to anyone! Just use your Unity stamps!!! The prizes are amazing, but you need to enter for your chance to win!

It's time for my picks of the week! Here are some fabulous Unity projects that caught my eye!

The bright colors and fun layers on this card really stood out to me. Rebecca also entered it in the current Be Inspired Challenge!

I really loved the elegance of this next card. The variety of whites and the bold blue snowflake are stunning! This card is by Kali Mayne Everton and I spotted it in the Unity Show and Tell Facebook page.

Lastly, I wanted to share this gorgeous pink ribbon card by Sheryl Kemper. It's perfect for October; Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I found this card on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook page.

KOTM Monday!!

Hello there Unity friends!  It's Karen sharing a Christmas tag with you
using this month's KOTM "Love & Joy for the Holidays"!!

I colored this sweet Angie girl using my Copics...
added a bit of glitter to her wings and halo.
Then, I made some handmade flowers
and finally added some metal swirls!!

At the top, I added a metal snowflake and shimmery rhinestone
to the crinkly ribbon...

If you haven't signed up for the
KOTM subscription, you can still do so!!
