tonight...we are driving home from unity...and
- it is so crazy how things happen. i was riding home in our big creepy blue van with chris. i was SULKING & thinking how upset i was that we have all these cars and NONE of them work.
we have a stupid lexus that nic bought that ended up being a lemon and sits dead in our yard.
we have a beautiful red truck that had the back end fall out {don't ask} at any rate it is an expensive fix {understatement}
- we have a black car of Nic's that didn't have a starter and needs to be fixed as well
AND
- we have my volvo
{that Nic is using}
... so here i am stuck getting taxied around in our big creepy blue Unity van.
Thankful for it, but you know what i am sayin'
- LONG STORY short -
i turned up the radio and I hear the LOCAL Radio Station mention that there are 40 million people without food in their pantry.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
I couldn't believe that!!!!
I am sulking about my creepy van - yet some people don't have enough income to have THANKSGIVING WITH THEIR FAMILIES?!
So...the newscast continues to explain that at the local FOOD SHELF - every $1 donation equals $9 of groceries.
HOW COOL IS THAT?
LIGHTBULB.
SO - $.50 cents of EVERY Total Sale made through SUNDAY will be DONATED to the LOCAL Food Shelf.
I seriously CAN'T wait to see how much we get to donate.
