Stamped & Inked Tag

GOOD FRIDAY EVENING!

It's Co-Brand Friday where we take a look at one of Unity's Co-Brand partners a little more closely.

This week, I am sharing with you a little project that I made using Marah Johnson's Art and Soul.  This stamp set is up my alley because of all the artsy possibilities.  I love crows and birds, and cool fonts and lettering, flourishes, crowns, and this set has it all!  (See below for the full kit).

Just a warning, these tags can be addictive!  They are fun to make, quick and you can go ahead and layer on the stamps and make a collage look.  You can also mess up and throw it out, no biggie, it's just a tag right?

EASY INKED TAG

  1. Ink the tag by dabbing a Distress Ink (Peeled Paint) pad onto a non-porous surface (glass, non-stick craft sheet), then spritz it with water, dab both sides of the tag in the water/ink mizture.  Let dry
  2. Stamp images in various shades of green inks, the darkest, being the bird and create, the other elements lighter so that they are not as apparent.
  3. Spritz some bronze mist onto bits of the tag (not too much, just to add some shimmer).
  4. Ink left side of tag with more Distress Ink (Scattered Straw) using Ranger's Cut n' Dry Foam or similar.
  5. Ink the string using Distress Ink and the foam as well.
  6. If you're an artist, which I know you are - tie onto one of your creations and give to someone special!
